The longer length of the parka makes it a full body barrier against wintry winds, keeping you nice and toasty. The warmth here is provided by a 600 fill down insulation which is held in place with stitch-through construction which gives the coat it's iconic appearance and prevents the feathers from moving around inside The tall collar and hood also hold the same insulation and can be adjusted with the draw cord system to gather the warmth in around your face and can easily be removed when it's not needed Over the zip we have a full length storm flap with snap down closures which adds a further defence against the cold winds. The zip is two way so you can easily access trouser pockets under the parka and at the top you can see we have a soft fleece chin guard which prevents the zip from irritating your face when it's done up And here we have an internal media pocket with a cord guide that will hold your headphones neatly in place. and finally at the hips we have two cosy hand warmer pockets with a soft fleece lining what I love about the Metropolis is how lightweight it is considering the level of warmth it gives It isn't bulky so it wont leave you feeling like the Michelin man.
