First of all, let's download the game.
I will skip this process, it might take a while depending on your internet speed.
Now, let's run the game to set everything up.
As you can see, the version is indeed 1.3.
Now we can exit the game.
Moving on, it's time to download the tModLoader.
The link will be provided in the description.
Choose the download according to your system, I'll just go with Windows as this is what I have.
Wait for the page to prepare the download and click the green button.
After the download is completed, open the download folder and extract the files.
The readme file explains if you need all the files or not ( some of them are provided for mod creators).
Now, let's open the Terraria folder, you can do it manually or open it from Steam.
Simply drag & drop all the files needed.
If anything asks you to replace the original file, do that.
Now you can close everything and run the game, both from the folder and Steam library.
As you can see, the version of the game is 1.3, and the tModLoader version is 0.7.
You can download all the mods from the Mod Browser menu, depending on the mods content it might take a while.
I'll go ahead and skip this process.
In the Mod menu you can manage all the mods you have currently installed.
So let's start, I've created a character and some worlds before just to check if it's working.
As you can see, I've got some modded items like the Wodden Shield for example.
Have fun and Thanks for watching!
