My name is Courtney Hester on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip we're going to be making
a Chinese doll using a flat slotted clothespin. We're first going to take our flat slotted
clothespin and lay it in front of us. We're going to take our tiny wood stick and cut
it in half first to make the arms. Once we've cut it in half we're going to glue one on
either side of the clothespin for the arms. I'm going to put a tiny dot of glue here and
glue down the first arm, kind of at a slant and then we'll do the other arm. The next
thing we're going to do is take some red yarn and we're going to put a dot of glue on the
back
and to fix one end of the yarn. This is going to wrap around the front to make our dress.
We're going to start and going to go all the way around and slightly above the arms and
then we'll start going underneath the arms for the rest of the dress. Once we have wrapped
all the way down to the bottom, we'll put another dot of glue on the back to attach
the end piece. Next we're going to add a decoration to the dress with using our gold cord, we're
going to take our gold cord and tie a knot in one end and then in the other end. We're
going to do this twice so that we have two, two knotted pieces, we're then going to glue
these to the front of the dress. Next we're going to take the black yarn, you're going
to hold it in your hands and loop it back and forth several times and then we're going
to tie another piece around the middle and then we'll be cutting the loops at either
end to make the hair. Once you have the loops cut, you will glue the hair to the top of
the head and squish it down. Last we need to add some eyes, so I'm going to take my
marker and make some eyes and now we have our Chinese doll.
