Winter Teaching Symposium - Intro

[MUSIC PLAYING] Our hope is that we can remove the barriers to learning and to degree completion. [MUSIC PLAYING] Online enrollment is increasing. This is another one of those fun graphs. These numbers include students who are part of the overall enrollment. This is not a separate group of students. These are students who have chosen, on our campus, to take at least one class online. Approximately a thousand of those students are taking classes exclusively online. [MUSIC PLAYING] A major role of the Global Campus to help connect the University of Arkansas to our students. Many who may not actually take classes on our campus, as well as some who may. [MUSIC PLAYING] Hi, my name's Dave Gearheart, and I'm the Chancellor at University of Arkansas.
