with sportsmen, and what’s extremely important is:
with professional sportsmen.
Here, you have to use such methods
by which you see how his heart, his lungs
function and in the last years
it was fortunate for me that an EEG amplifier could be built with which
I see how their brains function either at standstill or during doing sports.
So the question came up, how much load a driver has to endure while
driving in urban traffic.
We started the day by “plugging in” the young man who is driving the cars.
We measured the basic data about how his heart and his brain functions
at standstill, and then we moved the whole measurement system into the cars.
At first we checked the data in the car without intelligent assistant systems, then
in the car with intelligent assistant systems and that’s how we tried to measure those
physiological data which show what happened to him while driving.
We installed such devices into the cars which were able to follow the acceleration
and the spatial orientation of the vehicle, and the biological amplifiers followed
the function of the heart and the brain.
The system registered during two times 20 minutes drives how the driver
adjusted himself to traffic conditions and
to what extent he could be aided by the intelligent car's technology.
Under conditions of urban traffic we looked at how the driver is influenced by the stop-light,
by the slow advancement behind others, by the observation of another partner, and how
these appear in the function of either the heart or the brain through the biological amplifiers.
The highly accurate analyses showed that there is a difference
between the two cars concerning the heart and the brain functions.
Of course, when a healthy person is being considered, these are small differences,
but they definitely show that in the long run it is easier to
drive an intelligent car because the level of stress is lower or if there is a traffic
situation, when you may not pull out to overtake, and it signals this, then the driver
can process this significantly easier and faster with a car, which
gives a warning, and therefore the driver can respond immediately.
Based on the measured data, it can be stated that the intelligent car
helps its driver to get out of its vehicle
in a significantly better physiological state.
This means that he will be able to perform with significantly
better intellectual activity during important negotiations.
