Deep Dish Dessert Pizza by The Sweetest Vegan
Hey my Sweet Vs. It's The Sweetest Vegan here.
And Mother's Day is right around the corner and I would like to highlight one of my favorite YouTube mom's.
ExoticJess
I asked her what her favorite food was and she said pizza and lasagna.
So on today's show we will be making a healthy dessert pizza, here we go.
We are going to start this recipe off by adding our dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl.
Wheat flour, all purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
Give that a good whisk before adding in vegan margarine. I am using Earth Balance brand,
because it had the lowest saturated fat, out of all the fats in my house.
Cut that in. You can use a pastry blender or a food processor, I just used the whisk.
Now this part, you want to slowly add in your water and then stir a little.
I added to much, the dough came out too wet. It kinda mad this wet ball here.
Then that kinda made it difficult to roll out onto parchment paper.
I ended up spreading a little flour over the top, and that made it easier to roll out.
But then I got overzealous with the rolling and spread it too thin.
Bake it at 425 degrees F for 10 minutes.
And it may not come out perfect, but it is our little jewel. Kinda like children.
Next add your fillings to a large bowl. I am using tofutti cream cheese,
it is a vegan cream cheese, along with
coconut milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
And that is going to make a nice fluffy filling for our deep dish dessert pizza that I am so excited about.
Spread your filling throughout your tart, be gentle.
Even though it is a pretty strong crust.
And then add your fruits. I am using strawberries, apples, and bananas.
Because, I just love those fruits.
All the directions and ingredients can be found in the description below.
This came out wonderful. If you want it to be sweeter, add more fruit, not sugar.
And, Happy Mother's Day, Bye.
