Hey everyone, its TheHowToCrochetGirl. In this video I am going to be talking about
all of the basic crochet abbreviations. So, In most patterns you will see tons of abbreviations
and it just makes it easier to read it. So I have little papers right here which have
just basic abbreviations on them. And before I show you that, I going to be showing you
just what a patter looks like. I am not going to be talking about this too much but it just
has increase and decrease and just tons of "inc" dec" You will really get used to it
once you learn the patterns. So what I am going to be showing you .. You can write them
down if you like. Here we go... CH means CHAIN. CHS means CHAINS. DC mean DECREASE. INC means
INCREASE. SLST means SLIP STITCTH. ST means STITCH and STS means STITCHES. TR means TREBLE
STITCH. So, those are just the stitch abbreviations, so I have a few other things you are going
to need to do (when crocheting) rather than stitches. So BEG means BEGINNING. REP is REPEAT.
TOG is TOGETHER. SK is SKIP. PAT is PATTERN. So, you can write those down if you like,
like I said in the beginning. I hope this made it easier for you to understand the abbreviations.
There are tons more abbreviations but these were just the basic ones. You can look on
line to find other abbreviations, if I did not tell you them in this video. Thank you
for watching! Bye.
