Perfection
is it attainable, is it even desirable.
We talked to 6 high achieving women about perfection
here’s what they had to say.
I find perfectionism in the right place
is what makes you strive towards really high goals.
I try to be perfect but it never happens.
I mean that’s what I’m striving for every concert
being creative and perceptive and intuitive
and incorporate everything into this perfect sphere of sound.
It’s difficult to be able to get perfection with a horse
but that’s what we’re all looking for, to get that partnership,
so it’s unbeatable.
Sometimes you’re out there on the court and you’re thinking
I’ve played for so many years
and this is still not perfect, how is that possible.
I did achieve a big goal of mine winning
a grand slam and becoming number 1
but there was so much more I wanted to achieve.
You have to go back and you know work at it, but that’s also the fun thing
because if you’re great at it and there’s nothing to work on anymore
you know it wouldn’t be as satisfying to reach the goal.
I guess that’s the moment when you feel the most alive,
when we’re in the process of achieving that.
Of course you have days when everything falls into place
you play perfect matches, it’s the best feeling ever.
I’ve always been very focused on my goal which is being an Olympic champion
and if you love what you do, you should never give up.
I was lucky that I was able to pull it off
and finally get the gold medal that I'd always been dreaming of.
I’ve never found a perfect formula for what gives
that extra bit of magic to everything,
you just sort of feel like you’re floating on something
and it’s all just happening exactly how it’s meant too. It’s incredible.
