We do have a few photographers who are on contract.
Even our staff members become photographers at certain points.
We also look to the public to get images through social media —
through Facebook, through Instagram.
The system had to be capable of handling
a variety of different types of images
and rights for those images, etc.
Rights management is a huge piece of the puzzle.
We’re trying to have a better sense of
where those images came from, how we can use them,
and make sure that the folks who are using those assets
know how they can use them in turn.
We mark that in Widen, in terms of
“This is how we potentially can use it,
this is how they allow us to use it.”
We feel like Widen, so far, has been great to manage all those pieces.
