Inspiration from Mexico City - Luzia by cirque du soleil

I come in from Mexico City, you know, which is a very energetic city. I lived all around and in different places, different continents. I just keep going back just because I think that the big energy that I get from Mexico City is something that not just inspires me but push me to creation. There is some other places that have probably major immigration, but there is also they don’t fully mix, you know, they all keep their own neighbourhood’s tradition. What happens in Mexico is that everything really collides. Boom, it’s like particles really clashing and forming new ones that doesn’t really exclude those things. Include it and make it ours. This mixture that I’m talking, this mestizaje, it’s reflected in the cast, in the costume design, in the props, and in the stage itself.
