a cool video for you today. We are going to be talking about how to lose your love handles;
get rid of that muffin top. So Lindsey has kick us off what is the first tip when it
comes to losing love handles and gain that nice sleek waistline. Lindsey: Well, the first
tip is unless that they are ultra lean and unless that they are already really ripped,
we know that if we start doing certain oblique exercises, those are exercises that are going
to target this muscle right here. It is actually going to build that muscle underneath your
skin, but for somebody who is ultra lean and ripped, that is great. You are going to see
it come out from side to top. Yeah, but for those of us who definitely have a little bit
more fat, what they actually are going to do is it s going to bulge that fat out. so
you need to really come up with the way to clear that fat off before you start having
those muscles bulging out on the side, otherwise it is just going to look a little bit bigger
for a while that will make you look a little uncomfortable. Mike Chang: Yes, I definitely
agree. I remember when my body fat was too high and I worked on it and you don t see
me in that condition, but then you feel like your waistline starts expanding. So it starts
to get thicker and even though you are stronger and you have more muscle, but with clothes
on and without clothes, it still just looks puffier. Lindsey: Right. Right. I mean I really
think that the best thing to do is going to be in the beginning you want to do some high
intensity, even no weight exercises, and that is going to target some great fat burning
and that in addition to I really think the diet. Diet when you say so. Mike Chang: Definitely,
when you are in the process of burning the fat, the diet will be, really -- majority
of that result is coming from leaning up. Lindsey: Yes, so what we -- I mean to go back
over that, what we want to do is we want to keep a really clean diet combined with those
high intensity exercises and we want to break down that fat, we want to basically bring
those abs out of hiding. They are sleeping right now, they are covered under some stuff.
So let s clear that up and then you can -- when you get into your ultra lean mode, you can
really start building up those oblique muscles and your 2:09 cutting out from side to side
and it will be beautiful. Mike Chang: All right, so the next tip is basically is to
lower your body fat low enough before you start doing any type of oblique exercises.
So like we talked about, if you keep working on your blades, you are just going to push
up that out. So make sure you drop your body fat low enough before starting any type of
oblique exercises, working the muscle on your side Lindsey: Yeah and you know, Mike, in
addition to those exercises, with that expression that become all too familiar, our abs, they
are not always made with exercises; they are made in that kitchen. So, probably the most
important part of getting self started like this is going to be making sure you are on
target with that diet going back to what we said earlier. So get in the kitchen, prep
your meal ahead of time, you want to avoid randomly grabbing different portions. So I
live with the food scale; it is so weird that and you get used to the process. I live with
the food scale and I live with measuring cup. So every morning when I am making that breakfast,
I know that I need a cup of egg whites so that over the top of my head, that it was
four egg whites, that is 20 grams of protein and yes, I can split that up just like that
and in addition to a half cup of oats for my carbs. So I go through that and prep those
meals daily; it will be never crashed. You are never going to go 3.30 stuff. So you know
exactly what is going in your body for nutrition, and what is exporting out of your body with
those high intensity workouts and in the end, we are going to have some bring back that.
Mike Chang: And I used to try to measure foods too, and it is good to stock in the beginning,
because a long time you are kind of guessing on exactly how much to put but once you do
it for a little while, like Lindsey says, she knows that it is four eggs that equals
a cup, and you know you can pretty much start to measure exactly like how much oats or how
much of everything you need. I would definitely recommend something like measure in the beginning
but then after you get used to it, you don t have to measure if you don t like to but
you should be able to kind of eye up exactly how much of portion size is, but she makes
really good point because portion size is such a big factor for dropping your fat. Lindsey:
