Good morning everyone
My name is Alice and I'm an exchange student from the Czech Republic
and today I'm honoured to show you
why Laurentian University is a great place to study
I just finished my Italian class and this is really one thing I like
here, that you can easily meet people from all over the world
and you can practice various languages
I am Veronica from Italy
I'm leaving today
but I know this is just the last stage of one chapter
not the end of a book
So Buon Natale! (Merry Christmas)
Hi, my name is Laurine, I'm French and I'm also an international student
I'm very happy to study at Laurentian because of its bilingualism
Life is not only about studying
It is also about discovering the beauty of nature
Like Onaping Falls in Sudbury
Sudbury is great because you always can find somebody
Who you know and you can talk to
Shèngdàn jié kuàilè (Merry Christmas!)
Behind me you can see one of Sudbury's murals
Which is a characteristic for Sudbury's culture
I graduated from Laurentian in 1968
Way back in the dark ages
But it's really fun to have met some of the international students
from Laurentian this year
I was there for a concert and saw the Lambda newspaper
I read Alice's article and
by the glories of Facebook was able to with her
and now we've become friends
Hi, I'm Christina from Germany
I like Laurentian because it's so small and personal
and the bus drivers on campus actually wait for you
and I wish you all Fröhliche Weihnachten (Merry Christmas!)
Right now I am at Science North
with all these Christmas lights
and Christmas decorations
And I just need to say this:
It's so American!
I'm heading to skate now, so wish me good luck
because this is not something I can really do
I have to start somehow
It was a blast for me to show you my perspective on Sudbury and Laurentian
The very last thing I want to share with you
Have stories to tell, not stuff to show
