today we will make tempting palak patod sabzi.
let's see what all ingredients are required for making palak patod sabzi.
spinach - 300 grams (wash and then place them in sieve so that excess water drains out)
paste- 4-5 tomatos,1 inch ginger piece and 1 green chilly
gram flour - 1 cup
green coriander- 2-3 tbsp (finely chopped)
red chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
asafoetida- 1-2 pinch
coriander powder - 1 tsp
salt - as per taste (1 tsp)
oil - 2 tbsp
firstly dissolve gram flour.
take out gram flour in a bowl
add little water at a time and stir until all lumps get dissolved.
batter is ready;add spinach and1/4 tsp salt into it.
mix all ingredients nicely.
now we will cook this mixture in steam.
we have taken this utensil and add 1-1.5 cup water.
place a sieve in the top like this.
grease the sieve with some oil..
when there is formation of steam place besan-palak mixture for cooking on it.
spread the batter like this on the sieve.
cover and cook in steam for 15 minutes.
besan-palak mixture is ready.
take it off flame and plac eit on wire rack so that it gets frigid quickly.
this stock can be used while making sabzi.
meanwhile prepare gravy.
add oil in preheated pan.
when oil gets hot add cumin seeds, asafoetida.
after suating cumin seeds add turmeric powder,coriander powder,tomato-ginger paste and red chilly powder
saute masala until oil starts floating on the surface.
separate out the cooked gram flour with help of a knife.
we have used tomtoes fopr making gravy but you can also used curd.
oil has started floating on the surface now add cooked spinach into it.
make small pieces of it.
mix all ingerdients nicley.
add water as per your preference.
add around 1-1.5 cups of water.
add salt.
cover and cook for 2 minutes so that all spices get absorbed in spinach.
sabzi is ready.
mix green corainder in the sabzi
palak patod sabzi is ready.
you can also garnish with some cream before serving.
serve this sabzi with chapatti,parantha or naan.
