We are at the Swing Stand with Daniel Tyrkas.
Daniel, you now have three wings in the B segment.
That's a novelty in the trade. Can you tell me something about this?
Currently we have the Arcus 7 and the Mistral 7. Which cover the low-end B -
The Arcus actually being EN-A without accelerator.
- and the Mistral 7 really is high-end-B. Made for XC pilots to win the XC competitions.
And we noticed the trend that with EN-C decreasing, the classes shift a bit.
Pilots are becoming more sensitive, probably also thanks to your work.
if they really control the wing or if the wing flies them around.
Also the perfomance increases all the time.
Because of this the B-segment grows - and brobably also A.
A-Wings are no longer pure school wings.
So we saw there was a missing link in our portfolio between low-end and high-end-B.
Pilots say: "This wing is too much for me, but the other one is not enough.
Actually I need something in between".
And that's why we decided to build a wing especially for this category.
An honest middle-B,
which is a bit less agile, than the Mistral 7 and a bit simpler to fly.
We are sure the market is there.
When will the wing be released and what will it be called?
The wing will be called "Sensis". It is an addition to our portfolio.
We plan to have it ready at the beginning of the season.
You also have a new "A" wing. What is that one called?
Right. Here we also reacted to the trend
and also that in Germany training is only allowed with pure EN-A now.
Here we have the Axis in the low-end.
The new wing is named Discus and is positioned on the upper end of EN-A.
It's a pure EN-A but even though features all the technologies from the upper classes.
It is a premium wing, which is suitable not only for training, but also as a first wing accompanying the pilot to the first XC flights.
It features 3D-shaping, miniribs on the trailing edge, stitched up V-Tapes.
It is a real 3-liner, decent speed system, good glide ratio.
You also have speed against the wind.
I flew it myself for three days in Mexico in the strongest conditions, so I could get a profound idea of its characteristics.
We made a video there which will be released shortly.
I believe it is a nice, round wing, which is suitable
beginning with the first flights up to the first XC flights.
You can have full confidence into the wing immediately.
Comfort and Safety.
We say it's for future experts.
Right from the beginning until you reach a certain level.
In the tandem segment the trend is to have two models. Here you also followed up.
Our Twin 4 already was available in two sizes.
This we kept with the Twin 5.
Especially the tandem companies are happy that we offer this choice.
It is a safety factor.
With light passengers, children, light women
as a light pilot, you become a balloonist quite fast with a big tandem.
With the small Tandem you still have forward movement even in windier areas with strong valley winds in the afternoon.
Tandem flights are made all day long - a break is not an option.
You have also become active in the hike & fly area.
You released the Brave 3. Tell us something about it.
The Brave 3 is a further development of our speedriding-harness Brave II.
As you know, we are quite strong in the speedriding sector.
And we saw: This harness is perfectly suitable for "normal" paragliding.
But there were elements missing. Like the possibility to attach a rescue.
Here we have something brand new.
Escape M. The whole package weights only 1 kg.
It is certified up to 105 kg. It's perfect for hike & fly adventures.
We revised it so that the rucksack is now slimmer and higher.
Now a normal wing fits into it.
So you have more comfort carrying it up.
It is a reversible harness. You turn it around - the rescue can stay attached.
There is also an airbag available, which you can clip on.
So it is modular. There is the airbag module. We have a speed-system module. And of course the rescue set.
So it is not only a speedriding harness, but also suitable for hike & fly.
The airbag also stays fixed to the harness.
All the modules can stay attached.
And you fly down the mountain - or around.
You can do this either with our Hybrid Hike, which is the lightest wing we have in the portfolio
or with a regular paraglider.
Show us a little of the Brave!
Well, the rescue looks like this.
The harness itself looks like this.
It is very compact. Can be compressed easily.
You can even fix skis here. One on each side.
You can attach your walking poles here.
It features storage possibilities for a lot of things, you can put in here.
It is prepared for a hydration system.
You have a high carrying comfort with the back part and the hip belt.
You can compress it nicely - it has 4 compression straps in total.
When you arrive on top of the mountain -
Well, perhaps I show you the airbag first, which is also inside here.
It is a dynamic pressure protector, which has been certified with the Voyager initially.
You simply clip it to the harness and if you like, you can leave it there.
This is the airbag module. It also weighs nothing.
Ok. Near to nothing.
Turned around the whole thing looks like this.
Like this from the front. Like that from the backside.
It has two seperate leg rests.
By the way: Also with load test. Conducted at the DHV.
It is a light harness, but resists 12g at 125kg load.
You will not be able to damage it.
We tried on your test facility and didn't succeed.
A thing that cannot be said about all of these harnesses.
We are quite proud of this. Very high quality.
Later you strap yourself in.
You have the airbag here on the backside. You can attach the speed bar.
The front rescue is simply attached to the carabiners.
And off you go.
You have a comfortable harness to fly around perfectly
and also a very compact equipment for hike & fly, travelling, whatever.
