NATIONAL FEDERATION OF ART AND DISABILITY Hello! On behalf of many people who have some kind of sensory disabilities, I would like to make a wish: Remove all the barriers that prevent us from the communication, the entertainment, the culture and the education. Nowadays the culture, as we know it, suffers a transformation because of processes and synergies in which our society is immersed. As a result of these changes, with help of entities and people, with a strong commitment in the world of art and disability, on 19th of January of 2013, in Madrid, starts National Federation of Art and Disability. An organization of national action, enterprising character and above all, inclusive, an associative nature, which is nonprofit. I am Julian, I live in Faro and I am deaf, but I would like to know you. Sign language Magnetic loop Braille Audio description Subtitling The aims of the federation: - Promote the access for people with disabilities to the artistic and creative expression. - Aware the social agents, both public and private ones, and different public and private entities to promote artistic activities of disabled people. - Contribute to the access of people with disabilities to artistic and creative training programs. - Ensure and encourage the accessibility to, and in, the places where the culture can be carried out, and also the artistic creation itself. - Make public the activities that, from different physical and legal entities, are carried out with the aim of promoting the exchange of information. - Serve as a voice between the associations of the federation if they ask for it, and local, autonomous, national and international entities. In order to attain these goals following activities will be carried out: Courses, workshops, artistic and technical advice for festivals, meetings, conferences, awareness raising workshops, performances, expositions, orientation and development of cultural projects related to disability. Currently, the entities that are part of the National Federation of Art and Disability carry out some projects in drama, dance, painting, sculpture, music, graphic design and audiovisuals arts.
