Traveling On Trains a song
copyright © Manus Patrick Fealy 2012
Waiting for a train at a Station singing my prayers quietly I get on board
and a young lady plainly speaks out next to me
the Word deserves to be heard.
And she tells me: Traveling on trains
singing prayers sweeping through the streets
of the city I know
I got woes and I got cares
and my sins are on the rails but, I'm holding on
cause I know this love is true for He's in the things I do
the Word deserves to be heard.
Glistening drops of light are running down the windows.
In the tunnel I see clearing skies. Pick me up don't let me die.
and I hear a whisper from another guy Lord take pity on this poor fool.
And he tells me: Traveling on trains
singing prayers sweeping through the streets
of the city I know
I got woes and I got cares
and my sins are on the rails but, I'm holding on
cause I know this love is true for He's in the things I do
the Word deserves to be heard.
I know this love is true 'cause He's in the things I do
like offering a seat to the sweet side Gonna take a train coast to coast
gonna take a ride with the Holy Ghost the Word deserves to be heard.
and they tell me: Traveling on trains
singing prayers sweeping through the streets
of the city We know
We got woes and we got cares
and our sins are on the rails but, we're holding on
and we know this love is true cause He's in the things we do
the Word deserves to be heard.
Getting off the train my burden is a little lighter
and I hope light itself walks me down the platform
singing Stations to myself and passing people by
the Word deserves to be heard
and I tell them: traveling on trains
singing prayers sweeping through the streets
of the city I know
I got woes and I got cares
and my sins are on the rails but, I'm holding on
cause I know this love is true for He's in the things I do
the Word deserves to be heard
the Word deserves to be heard
