Hello, and thanks for tuning into this review of Titan pokers Speed poker.
If you play poker, by now you've played rush poker, or perhaps a variation of it on Stars
or even party poker.
The concept is that players are entered into a large pool, and randomly sat together at
different tables. As soon as a player is done with a hand, either by folding or showing
down, they are immediately sat at a different table.
This allows players to play several times more hands than they would at a normal table.
Now first off, I'd like to state that Titan poker is one of the smaller rooms around,
so I didn't start on the site with high expectations, and I can honestly say it was pretty much
what I expected.
The lobby is really limited option wise, although there's basic filters to sort tables. They
do have Holdem as well as omaha , but the lack of Full ring in either format is a big
strike against it. I really can't understand why it's only limited to 6max.
----------- at the table -----
There's definitely nothing different about Titans version, and it seems rather limited
in terms of options. It has standard auto-rebuy options, but no option to manually top at
the table, which is a bit annoying.
Another thing that I find REALLY annoying, is there's no easy way to add more tables,
nor is there a way to buyin for more than 1 table initially. You have to open a table,
go back to the lobby, and repeat the process every time. Personally, I think this should
be a very basic feature, so it loses points here.
The biggest gripe I have with Titans version however, is that it doesn't have a very smooth,
or rapid feel to it. Sure it's faster than normal tables, and you'll get a lot of hands
in still, but it just doesn't seem as fast as other sites versions.
Overall, I think the lack of options, as well as the lack of features that should be standard,
such as adding tables, really makes it seem unfinished.
It's pretty obvious they rushed the product, in order to get it on the market quickly.
Sure you can play a lot more hands, but it's a pain to get started, and you don't have
a lot of control over settings.
I think it needs a lot of work before it can compete with the bigger rooms, however it's
definitely playable, and worth checking out none-the-less.
