Mexican Soda - Jarritos vs. goya [closed captioned]

Hey Everyone It's summertime in New York and that means one thing, Bodega sodas! It's the time of year when it might be a little too hot to walk down some place or turn on your tap water and get some of the fine city water from the public services. So we have here, refresco by Goya, fruit punch soda and Jarritos? Jarritos, from... made in Mexico This one's about 70 cents, this one's about 80 cents. This is made with 100% natural sugar. Comes from Mexico in a glass bottle. And this one is Goya and this is made with High Fructose Corn Syrup and comes to us from Secaucus, New Jersey. Not as exotic as Mexico depending on how you feel about New Jersey or not but this is from right across the street or not street but the river and costs 70 cents and this is from Mexico. A third world country. And costs about 80 cents all the way from Mexico. 80 cents. 70 cents. Comes in a glass bottle and is half the price of a Coca-Cola sometimes even more for about actually, getting 12.5 fluid ounces. Here is 12. I think a coke is 12. So you're getting more for less in a glass bottle. Alright, let's try it out. Alright, first up we have the Jarritos I never had this before, by the way, somebody at work said it's good (fizz) (clang) can opener (smacking lips) Yeah, it's pretty good actually Subtle, subtle flavor more perfumy. Tutti Frutti and if I was back in Hawaii, I can get a 5 cent refund Natural sugar. Yeah, it's pretty good (smacking lips) Mexican water tastes nice and clean Alright, let's try the Goya Here we have the Goya refresco one from the lovely land of Secaucus (fizz) (clang) Tell ya, I don't feel confident about drinking this if you've ever been to Secaucus, you know what I mean Mexico has a lot over Secaucus (smack lips) This one tastes more "red" more flavorful, more what you expect fruit punch to taste like, not as subtle as the other one Mmm Delicious Type 2 Diabetes Ooh, stronger fruit punch artificial kind of flavor I gotta say I like the Mexicans better or, well, the Mexican drink better Alright, so here we are, back with the Jarritos, much better flavor just more of a, a natural flavor the other one seems more carbonated, more...you know like a ***'s perfume? That's kind of what the other one tastes like This one tastes more, I guess I guess, natural is the only way to say it I don't know, did you like this one, Camerawoman? (nods) Did you like the Goya one? (shakes no) So, it's definitely this one over the other one, right? (nods) Alright, yeah that's what I thought So this is The Faustian Man and I am endorsing Jarritos I think you should, hope I'm saying that right my Mexican Spanish is a little rusty "Jarritos!" "Hola Le Vato!" "Me Gusta Jarritos!" "Tutti Frutti" No that's, I just became Indian This is why I don't do accents Yeah, but what I'm saying is this is a very good soda pick it up. Alright? And it's great on a hot summer day, like in New York. Skip the coke man. Get something new.
