Moveorama's One Shot - Roberto merlino

My name is Roberto Merlino and I'm the director of Corte Tripoli Cinematografica. It's a cultural association born in 1998. It gives an opportunity to filmmakers to work togheter. We are a Cineclub Fedic (Italian Federation of Cineclub). Fedic is one of the nine association approved by Department of Culture. We are a very dynamic Cineclub. Our members make films, we organize, every year, the national Stage of Fedic and events. We work in a peaceful but professional mood. My passion for cinema was born when I was a kid. I loved acting. One day, someone told me that the boss of the actors was the director. In the meantime I finished my studies to become a doctor. My passion for cinema was still deep and I started acting in a company. I have began with direction thanks to Automobile Club with an educational video. With Corte Tripoli Cinematografica opportunities have increased. I like to make documentaries. They give me the chance to know a person well, mixing documentary with fiction. It's hard to give advice to young filmmakers. First of all sharpen yours wits, don't be slave of tecnlogy and tell clear stories. It happens to watch films, technically well done but without consistency. It seems they want to shock you at all costs. Be Simple and cooperate with experienced people. Greetings to Moveorama.
