Hello, my name is Carlos Davila and I'm a personal trainer in New York City. In this
clip, we're going to focus on some squat progression for athletes. So, taking the basic squats,
you want to have your feet pointing straight out, legs about head distance apart, dropping
down into that bucket. So this'll be your basic squat. Now if you want to make it a
little bit more explosive, you want to get a little bit lower. So you want to go down
below the knees and up. What you can also do is squat hops. So you're exploding out
of that squat. You can also do one leg squats, with your leg either going back or going forward.
Same thing with the other leg, either going forward, or going back. You can also do knee
tucks, which is a little bit different than a squat. You're essentially doing your squat
in the air. So you bring your knee into your chest, and essentially squatting in the air.
All these exercises are going to increase that triple flection in your legs which will
allow you to get into very explosive movements, whether it be basketball, whether it be football
or it be baseball. This is Carlos Davila, personal trainer, New York City.
