Interviewer: So Vincent was kidnapped at the end of last season so what can you
tease about this second season?
Jay Ryan: Well we stop back three months later from that event that you last saw in
the finale.
And Vincent's still missing three months later so JT's out looking for him,
Catherine's out looking for him, Tess is out looking for him and even Gabe who was
shot in the chest 16 times may make a comeback.
Interviewer: So he does make a comeback? Jay Ryan: He does make a comeback in some way.
So Vincent is kind of in a scary place right now.
He's back in the hands of the people that I guess created him into what he is now.
And they've turned him into what they ultimately wanted him to be in the first
place which is a super soldier that is out to kill.
So that whole Jekyll and Hyde thing, I spoke about it in Season 1 is definitely
going to be very prominent in Vincent's mind in this season coming forth.
Interviewer: What about the relationship between him and Cat?
Jay Ryan: Well we've pushed them together really quickly in Season 1.
In Beauty and the Beast and the mythology everyone knows that those characters are
destined to be together and that's what the fans wanted so we gave it to them in
Season 1 but in Season 2 the whole mantra is "Who am I?" that's what the name of the
first episode is called and they kind of act each character so it's a little self
discovery for Vincent and Catherine apart so they really have to find who they are
so they can come back together and have a stronger relationship - really earn it.
Interviewer: What would you say is Beauty and the Beast moment?
Jay Ryan: A Beauty and the Beast moment?
For me it's romance, any romantic moment in Beauty and the Beast as a whole but in
our show I guess it's a romantic moment with Muirfield close behind.
