Today on our 2012 Toyota Sienna, we'll be test fitting the Yakima HighLite Aluminum
2 Bike Carrier, part number Y02438. To mount our carrier to the vehicle, we'll insert the
shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll line up the pin holes
and secure our biker rack with the pin, then we'll use the hand *** at the base of the
bike rack to tighten up the anti-rattle wedge. Now, we'll go over a handful of clearance
measurements. We've got about 10 inches of ground clearance and about 3 inches of clearance
between the closest part of the carrier and the closest part of the vehicle. Overall,
we've added about 11 inches of length to the rear of the vehicle with the carrier arms
folded down. Next, we want to check for rear vehicle access.
We'll use the pull pin at the base of the rack to tilt it down. We want to make sure
that we can open our cargo door and access the area even with the bike rack installed.
Now, we can put our rack back up and prepare to load a bike. We'll use the switch at the
top of the rack to gold the arms out and we'll undo the straps at the cradles closest
to the vehicle.
