Hi, my name is Dr. Kim Makoi, I'm a holistic chiropractor and a certified addictionologist
in San Fransisco California, and this is, how does smoking affect your life. Smoking
affects your life in many more ways than just your physical health. For one thing smoking
is- cigarettes are one of the top 10 money drains listed. If in case you're wondering,
where does my money go every month, if you smoke and calculate what your monthly expenditure
is in cigarettes you would be surprised on how much money you're spending on something
that actually doesn't do anything good for you. It also inconveniences you in many ways,
there are more and more places where smoking is not allowed, in restaurants, at events,
on airplanes, and it greatly inconveniences your comfort if you feel like you need a cigarette
every so often and it also inconveniences other people, people who have to live in the
same space as you, they may be having secondary smoke issues. Especially if you have small
children, there's a lot of data that shows children of smokers tend to have a lot more
problems with asthma, allergies, things of that nature. Over the longterm you can definitely
expect to spend a lot more money on your health care if you're a smoker. And basically there
aren't any benefits to smoking, other than maybe looking cool, if people still think
it looks cool. So smoking affects your life in many ways, and those are just a few of
the ways that smoking affects your life.
