My name is Wolfgang Drescher, I study at the Dresden Unversity of Music Carl Maria von Weber and I am the programmer of practicediary.music.
practicediary.music gives you the opportunity to observe your pracitce habits and validate it trough statistics and diagramms.
In this video I would like to explain the main features of this website. In this Video I would like to explain to you the most important functions of this website.
When you first sign in, you will be redirected to the page "Get Started" and guided trough some preparatory steps
before you can analyse and compare your practice habits.
First add instruments you play, such as piano, violin or vocals.
Then add activities.
Possible values are for example "Repertoire", "Technical exercises", "Sight-reading".
Now enter some pieces you are currently working on.
You are now ready to enter your pracitce units.
Here you can specify additional information such as pracitce goals, notes,
whether you experienced any pain and if so how strong; you can also rate your pracitce unit.
After entering some pracitce units you can go to the menu item "Statistics" and evaluate your pracitce habits and diagramms.
At Overview you can observe your pracitce habits from today, the last 7 days and the last 30 days.
In grey will be presented what is missing to the defined target time and transparent everything exceeding this value.
At Insturments you can see in a pie chart in which ratio you practice your instruments.
At Activities you can see the detailed view of the practice times for the specified activities and if you have reached the defined target time.
At Pieces you can see how much time you spent working on the specitied pieces.
At Date you can observe on a time-line which acticivies you practied and for how long.
At Week at a glance you can see what and for how low you pracited each weekday.
If you visit the webiste m.practicediary.ch you can enter practice units und view your most important statistics.
On the iPhone and iPad you have the possibility to add this website to your home screen and start it directly as an app.
Using the app you can add a paracitce unit at anytime by pressing the plus sign in the top left corner.
There you can press the "Start" button when you start practicing and the "Stop" button
once you have finished and save the collected data.
