Formatting your paper: MLA Style
The Title Page
In MLA, it is not mandatory to have a title page.
It is completely up to your teacher if they want your paper to have one or not.
However, if they do not want one, the above information will go only on your first page in the same format as above.
For the Header, list your last name and a page number in the top right hand corner of every page of you paper.
Centre the title of your paper in the centre of the page.
The Body Page.
The paper must be double spaced, and each new paragraph has to be indented.
The margins must be one inch on all sides (2.5 cm).
The font should be twelve point and easy to read (e.g. Times New Roman).
The Works Cited Page
Your references always appear in alphabetical order by author last name or title
The Works Cited list must always begin on a separate page from the rest of the paper.
The title must be centered.
Always double space the text.
When you get to the second line of a reference and all lines following,
you must change the indentation style to a hanging indent.
