Hi, I'm Billy Kidd here at Expert Village and we're gonna talk about the Dime defense.
You can bring guys in motion, you can drop the quarterback back and you can give him
a shuffle pass. You're already behind the guards now you're create a running play right
here to where its a running play but its used with a wide receiver. You can bring the receiver
in motion; quarterback takes the snap under the center turns and hands off to create running
plays. There are all kinds of combinations that these receivers and these quarterbacks
can utilize to give the impression of a pass. Bringing them in here though, and making it
a run because you've got them out numbered inside here or they don't have an extra body
inside here, and you can get walls and seals built here to create seams for you to run
the football. Either because its a quick pass inside or either because you're giving it
to hand off. Um Nickel defense or Dime defense is not there to stop the run, its only there
to stop the pass.
