Interview with Ole

Hello! I am here with.... My name is Ole. I want to know, are you from Denmark? Yes I am. I was born in Denmark and I live in Denmark yes. Ole is my teacher here at Frontrunners but he also came up with the idea to set up the Frontrunners course. I would like to ask how you came up with the idea of Frontrunners? A while back, I was thinking that we needed an international leadership course, this was because I have seen other similar courses but it seemed boring. Their definition of leadership meant to teach about how to manage a board i.e. president, treasurer etc. They didnt teach students how to be a leader, to improve their skills. I wanted to change this and to develop this new course. Im happy you came up with this idea as Im in Frontrunners, and being taught a variety of topics which is wonderful. I want to know how you feel about the change over time from Frontrunners 1 - 8 especially since that Frontrunners 1 and 2 only had module 1 (3months) and now its evolved into 3 Modules. What do you feel about the time since then? Wow, time has indeed flown by and now its the eighth Frontrunners. I still keep confusing FR8 for FR7. Every group of Frontrunners have been different. I thought perhaps since this was an International course, it would be similar with each group but some groups focused on organizations and others are more into art and creativity. And others like to focus more on humanity and human rights. But this makes it really interesting for me. It is always a surprise to see what the next group will be like. Its always interesting. Make sure you keep checking out www.frontrunners.dk for more information about Frontrunners 9. I've got one last question, have you been to Australia before? Yes I have been to Australia one time. It was in Brisbane during the WFD Congress in 1999. That was my first time. The time was different between Australia and Denmark and I was in awe. I stayed there for 2 weeks. I would love to go back again to travel more around Australia. That's beautiful. I hope I will be seeing you again in Australia in the future. Thank you. Bye.
