Hi, I'm Jennifer Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to make
delicious traditional Thanksgiving Day stuffing for your turkey. Next we're going to mix our
wet ingredients together. Now it's important when making baked goods to mix up your wet
ingredients and your dry ingredients separately so that they're not combining too quickly.
You want to make sure especially to make sure that the egg is broken up completely before
you're combining it and it can clump up with the dry ingredients. So first we're going
to add two eggs, and once we start beating these eggs you want to make sure that they
yolks are broken and that everything is combined so that you don't have bits of yellow and
bits of clear parts of the egg. So you can see that the eggs are being beaten up quite
nicely so they have a nice pale uniform yellow color throughout. Now you want to add one
cup of milk. And you don't need to mix this up too long, otherwise it's going to splash
if you beat it too hard. You just want to get the eggs combined with the milk. And our
last ingredient that we're going to add is the fat. Now you can use either melted butter,
melted shortening, melted bacon fat, if you should prefer, or you can just use canola
oil. I prefer using canola oil because it's going to have less bad fat in it for you.
You just want to have a quarter of a cup, or four tablespoons. And you just want to
add that in and mix it up so it's combined. Now when you add the oil, it's going to want
to combine initially because oil and eggs repel each other, instead of wanting to mix.
So you're going to have to work a little bit to get them all combined.
