Hi! My name is Yogi San and these are my esoteric videos.
In this chapter we will talk about meditation.
This being such a broad topic,
we will only cover
the basic concepts
and give some simple techniques
so that the beginner
can start enjoying its benefits.
Meditation is a practice related to the practitioner´s awareness,
can be based on the concentrated attention on an external object,
over a thought or emotion,
or consciousness itself.
But what interests us is the practice!
It is important to note that meditation
is not necessarily linked
to any religion or belief.
It is true that throughout history the concept of meditation is closely linked to religion.
Almost all have some practice of this type,
even Western ones.
But if we think that in ancient times
religions had an importance and influence far greater than at present,
far greater than at present time,
it´s easy to see why this is so.
Be thou of any religion or not,
you can meditate in peace,
do not let that be an obstacle to enjoy
the benefits of this ancient and wonderful practice!
From a rational point of view, daily meditation helps improve
concentration and memory,
strengthen the immune system, reduce stress
and improve overall health.
It can also help us solve any problems we have,
acquire higher levels of consciousness,
raise our vibrational frequency, know ourselves,
know the spirit world
and a thousands benefits more!
It is important to clarify
that it is not convenient to meditate if we have a fairly serious mental illness;
if you have this doubt
please ask your trusty therapist.
Ok Yogi San,
how do I meditate?
We seek a quiet place with few distractions and noise,
what we can not avoid
we simply ignore it.
No need to be in an isolated place,
You can be at home,
a park
or on the bus, train or subway.
Turn off our phones and any other devices
that may require our attention.
We can light a candle or incense
and play some music if you want,
although it is not necessary.
Then we put ourselves in a meditation position.
There are many and we can meditate on any that we like,
for the beginner
I recommend sitting comfortably in a chair
or lying down,
the most important thing
is to have your back as straight as possible and be comfortable.
I recommend doing it on a chair
so you don´t fall asleep.
Close your eyes
and take a deep breath
a few times each time relaxing when you release the air.
Continue breathing normally
and simply
maintain our concentration
in your breathing or heartbeat.
We ignore any strange sensation or urge to move
and simply
relax
and we continue to maintain our focus on the breath
or the beating of our hearts.
That's all,
after about 5 minutes we return to our daily obligations
or whatever we want to do.
I recommend meditating in the morning before starting the day's activities
and in the evening or night, at the end of our obligations.
We can also do it at night, in bed,
for a better sleep.
It is preferable to meditate 5 minutes
every day,
than 3 consecutive hours once a week, for example,
the important thing is to do it every day and be consistent.
In the next episodes we will talk
about breathing,
relaxing
and other related topics.
Until then!
