and Sigma Kappa Sorority, and I will be your host of the Student Life segment of LAUNCH.
In this segment, we will take a look at how you can get involved on campus,
and in the same manner, we'll discover that being an active participant in campus
life is significant to your college success.
Research shows that students who are active on campus do better academically,
and are often more likely to stay in school and graduate.
But that's not the only reason to be involved.
Going to campus events, joining a student organization,
living or working on campus, and just taking advantage of the great
opportunities available can help you develop new skills,
make new friends, and build your resume for the future.
Not to mention, getting involved can be a lot of fun!
For me, being involved in POLO has been a great experience, because it's given
me the chance to realize by passion
for working with students and I plan to pursue a graduate degree in that field.
If I hadn't become involved with these student organizations, I wouldn't be the leader that I am today.
