Huatabampo
is a town in the southwest part of the state of Sonora in Mexico
It is traditionally an indigenous Mayo territory
it is made out of 148 communities
and a total of 89276 inhabitants
It is known as land of generals
because it is where many great characters were born like the General Macias
and the Huatabampense icon Alvaro Obregon
Because it is a cost town it is known touristically for its
beaches
specially for the most visited: "Huatabampito"
A town rich in culture and traditions where the
dance of the mayo deer is displayed
where the season for the lent is long awaited to be able to live the passion
death and resurrection of Christ
The personification of the Pharisee
the "pascolas"
and the awaited festivities of the holy trinity
Huatabampo
is a peaceful, solidary place
with working and helpful people
With a hospitality that tries making you feel in family
with its' traditional cuisine like the "Menudo"
"huacabaqui and the colachi"
Huatabampo
like in other places suffers with crimes
injustice and people that try to harm the town
and its' people
Sadly, Huatabampo is known for Saturday nights
Where young people and adults
park on the side of the most busy street to drink alcohol
and drive in the same night
avoiding the police and breaking laws along with the well-being
of many "huatabampenses"
But there is also people that optimizes "Huatabampo's" development
with effort and work
on themselves thinking of the goal
as a road for their families
their future
and their town
Real warriors
young generals of the field
Of the track
Of the bat
And sheltering on sports
sheltering there all of their dreams
But in the end
it would be very superficial to say that, this is all Huatabampo
you'd have to live it
and go deeper to really know it
Because the truth is that there are many really magical
places, which ones I am not capable of describing
