Hey this is DJ Brady again on behalf of ExpertVillage.com. In this clip, we’ll go through the last
four pieces of equipment you’ll need to set up your DJing system. The first piece
of equipment we’ll talk about is often considered the most important piece of equipment that
a DJ will use. I’ll be using the Sony MDRV-700 headphones, known for swivel cup and their
large diaphragm speakers, they offer excellent bass response and great enclosure for isolating
sound in your booth. The second piece of gear we’ll go over is the monitoring speaker,
opposed to the headphones which you’ll be using to monitor what’s coming into the
mix, this is what’s going to be playing live on the floor. The third piece of equipment
we’ll discuss here is the amplifier, the make and model aren’t important, so long
as you choose one that will effectively drive your speakers. The fourth thing we’ll discuss
are the cables to connect your equipment together, since different makes and models will use
different connections, we want to make sure that you get the correct cable for your application.
Common connectors seen on standard equipment are XLR, RCA and Quarter Inch.
