In this clip we're going to do the fourth step of "shomo puta chari (phonetic)". In
that step the feet are going to jump, cross, step, together. Other side, jump, cross, step,
together. The rhythm for this is a bit surprising we're just going to go and one, two, three,
one, two, three, one, two, three, one, two, three. The hands are just going to make a
slow windshield. One, two, three, one, two, three. Now notice in all the things I've been
doing I haven't forgotten my head. I don't just stand straight up and let the rest of
my body move. In Manipuri dance it's very important for the entire torso and head to
be involved with what you're doing so really let your head go to the side and the side.
Actually the way I'm looking it makes that figure eight that we've been talking about.
So five, six, seven, eight, one, two, three, one, two, three, one, two, three, one, two,
three.
