Every time you choose a Co-operative business, you're helping good things happen in your community.
Just like at my school, that's taking part in the Green Schools Revolution.
It's been absolutely thrilling to watch the children get so excited about the environment.
Thanks to Co-operative members, our children have learnt so much about important issues and they genuinely love it.
Thanks for watching.
Hello and welcome to Aberdeen. We're one of the businesses whose future has been made
brighter, with the support of The Co-operative Enterprise Hub.
We came close to losing all this last year, with the closure of the Remploy factories.
But with hard work and the support of the Enterprise Hub, we've saved the business
and gone from strength to strength.
We're now coming into the units where all the work's done, all the production.
This is Murray here and he's, at the moment, cutting out flame retardant thermal linings for boiler suits.
It's brilliant to see what we've achieved here and, basically, if we'd not decided
to set this up as a co-operative, we might not be here now.
Welcome to sunny Abergele in North Wales. Croeso Abergele. I'd like to tell you how
the Co-op Community Fund has added some drama to our local community.
What? It's only a camera. You're used to a camera aren't you?
We've been in existence since 1984 and we normally put on three or four amazing productions
each year and thanks to the Co-op Community Fund, we can put on even more amazing, versatile productions.
Come on honey and light my candle!
I initially heard about the Co-op Community Fund through a friend in the Rotary.
And, since our theatre company was urgently in need of some new lighting, I felt it was worth a try
and was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was.
Our community groups hold everything together and allow people to have an activity and get out of the house and mix with others.
I find it very nice to think that, as a Co-operative member
a percentage of the profits will be shared with other groups, like ours, throughout the UK.
Hwyl Fawr! Bye from Abergele Theatre Group.
Hello from sunny Manchester. I'm proud to be here as part of the colleague volunteering programme.
We are here today at the Manchester hospital complex, next to the children's hospital
and we're working with a charity who provides a home-away-from home service.
And that's for the families of the kids who are actually having treatment in the hospital.
We are encouraged to be able to take two days a year away from the office
And it's a chance for employees to get involved with local communities and charities that make a difference to people's lives.
It's fantastic to see the difference that The Co-operative makes.
Seeing the smiles on families' faces, you can't beat that - it's fantastic.
It reinforces what The Co-operative is all about.
It's wonderful for us to be able to get involved directly with a charity within the local community.
Just by shopping at your local Co-operative, you can make a massive difference to your local community.
Fantastic.
