gottman sal of course has been getting a lot of attention it's the most viewed
video on youtube some naturally foxnews wants to jump on the side bandwagon but
is that it's a good look at the south korean guy who's really successful he's
doing really great
then decided not
grandecom anti-american and bring up a video that he did adeptly to go
now the big one question features side basically sinking singing and
anti-american
military song
and the reason why he did that is because are back in two thousand two
june of two thousand to be specific american soldiers accidentally ran over
to south korean girls fourteen-year-old schoolgirls
as they were walking to birthday party
now these soldiers
were in the tank because they were doing some sort of training
i don't really understand why they were pedestrians there
uh... but unfortunately these to girls got run over and as a result they died
now the two soldiers didn't get tried at they had charges
uh... including negligent homicide
however uh... under a court martial deal with their case was acquitted they work
with it
and so they never really face any type of consequence for it
and as a result at that period in time side along with other members of south
korea protested the decision uh... in court now
a lot of people are questioning why he was so angry and it let's take a look at
it and then we'll discuss are picking
okay so this is a little snippet of it that basically
uh... he calls for a slow and painful death or killing of u_s_ military
members which i do agree goes way too far
as you can see he's smashing the u_s_ tank
um... and he's doing this in protest of what happened to those two
fourteen-year-old girls
now he has apologize for this uh... and as i mentioned it happened a decade ago
but the reason why i'm kind of giving him a little bit of the past is because
amounted to fourteen-year-old girls
were murdered on our soil
and of course people would be outraged by it especially if that they were
trying to negligent homicide and and and
there was no consequence for what happened
i'm so i can understand his rage a lot of south koreans are upset over what
happened on and
uh... i'm gonna gifts i have moved in the past year
uh... i think it's interesting there obviously letting us in this first off
is actually person i watch the video the i'm impressed at how far is that musical
styles balls and i'd seen proved since then the death metal doesn't really see
the style i don't think
unpaid idon't really agree with the initial lady friend this that that this
fox sort of like making a story and i'm not let me say let me tell you why i'm
saying that first of all this this story kind of broke this morning okay and of
course a lot of different news outlets
talked about it and how i'm you know people are critical of the video
but of course and you have talks news that took the video and to be to another
level so they feature eight picture of president obama shaking hands with side
of course and it said something like anti-american rage or something like
that you know there was some sort of banner
it seem like first of all killed bobby ministration is being anti-american
because it happened to shake sites and at some point in the in the past
and also be totally gloss over the fact that
there were soft reeds that religion in the lead angry over something that
americans would also be angry about if that happened to us so that's what
that's one thing and by the way just to be forestville clear so no one
misrepresents what i'm trying to say
so that's on where you calling for is slow and painful death of u_s_ military
members i'm not for that at all that goes way too far
but i can understand the anchor
yet luggage if you know anything about the history this particular conflict in
the fact of the vessel does there for so long is not an isolated incident happen
sometime time that
the civilians are killed both in south korea in in japan summer bases anatole
innocent there's been extremely long-lasting and lingering problems with
that uh... and i i i don't think that
hates i necessarily it was a long time ago and
i don't make me personally around the same time in the wake of of nine eleven
this is just shortly after that
i definitely expressed some political views that i would be ashamed of now i
would imagine a person can develop quite a bit over almost a decade at the same
time i'd be lying if i said that this didn't
uh... make me look at them a little bit differently
activity goes through the lyrics you talked about like talking about the
death of the soldiers find your responding to try to talk about killing
the soldiers families
yet that goes too far as i was going to pass once a anya right
i think that a lot of people are
are focusing on the lyrics which are unacceptable i don't agree with the
lyrics but also
at that moment of time you come from a place of anger and i think that it's a
little unfair to keep people as black ribbon or white you know what i mean in
this case
racquetball monday uh...
fear the worst
uh... but you know what i'm saying you know it you're taking the money if you
took me and my angriest moment and you judge me based on the things that i said
in my entry small made you would think that i mean hideous human being
that's true in a look at it from what i've read he didn't even right some
other per perot data for all we know at this time he was desperately trying to
get on the stage of any group because i don't know
the the content of his
his career
uh... but i i don't really like we said that the same time the doesn't change
the fact that you through an incredibly catchy song it happens to be one of the
best videos ever produced
those things remain true will continue to
appreciate it if i don't watch it necessarily as much as i used to but i
think it's interesting story because
so it's really representative of the fact that mainstream america is now
discovering k populace covering the fact that this exists in the world even if we
weren't seeing it up until this point
on often if you're not like fifteen sixteen and uh...
and they're something uh... but that it exists in so it's only natural that we
would want to learn more about the ambassador of the sort of music to us
and so
i certainly don't think it's illegitimate to talk about this the
lyrics are
pretty incendiary yet on but i think that you just have to put in context of
other things you know about him and understand that was a long time ago
