A major piece of safety equipment for today's drivers,
The HANS® System is now mandatory in the biggest racing championships.
Several studies have been done, including ones at Stand 21
which HANS® Systems are FIA homologated.
These studies significantly allowed the company
to give optimum safety and comfort to drivers.
"Stand 21 has a partnership with all the biggest constructors.
In Formula 1, from 70 to 80 % of the drivers are buying or wearing HANS® Systems by Stand 21.
In GT series, 80 % of the drivers are wearing our HANS® Systems.
When you look at our collection you can see that from the HANS® System and the helmet to the racing suit
we are exclusively focusing on the driver."
The carbon-fiber HANS® System only weights around 500 gr.
It distributes neck pressure on your shoulders and harnesses evenly.
which reduces risks of cervical ruptures or muscle strains in case of rough deceleration.
"Quick introduction to the HANS® System:
The HANS® System has several angles depending on the driver' seat recline.
The HANS® system has to be put this way.
The racing suit collar has to be put inside the HANS® System...
Once the HANS® system on your shoulders, you can put on the helmet.
Then you just have to clip the HANS® System to the helmet thanks to the tethers.
It is very important once the HANS® System and the helmet on your head
to be sure that the harnesses go well on each yoke of the HANS® System.
Thanks to that, in case of frontal impact, the helmet will be restrained."
The HANS® System has widely shown its ability even if it is not unanimously... yet.
That's why nowadays the HANS® System is mandatory in some series.
Within a few years, it will be the epitome of safety equipment for the racing driver.
