Hi guys
Welcome to my first blog on the Geek and Sundry Channel, which is really super exciting!
This is my segment which will be beauty things and nail art and geeky inspired tutorials
and things like that.
This is my Iron Man 3, Iron Patriot inspired look.
So he's pretty cool looking.
He looks just like Iron Man but more 'Merica.
So yeah if you want to learn more about how to get this look keep on watching.
So I'm starting off with Urban Deacy's primer potion and Nyx's jumbo eye shadow pencil in milk.
I'm going to blend these all over my lid and up into my crease to create a good base for the color to grab onto
I'm gonna take Make Up Forever's Miss & Fix Fix and a flat shadow brush, you can also use water
I'm going to be foiling a lot of eye shadows in this.
That means spraying your brush and using them wet.
Now this is Sugar Pill's Love Plus from the burning hearts palette.
And I'm gonna pack that on. Just dab it on all over the lid
all the way up to the crease.
Uh... it doesn't have to be perfect you're going to go over it a few times.
And now I'm gonna take a dry brush and the dry shadow and pack it right on top
It's going to intensify and it make it more solid
And make it um... a little bit more opaque
Now you're going to take these two blues starting with the lighter. This is for foiled again
Um... and I'm going to cut the crease with that. And then while it's still wet you
wanna blended out with a pencil brush
Um... and you can use lighter blue to blend it also
So now at work at this as much as you need to um... it's not
rocket science it
takes a while so be patient
I'm going to use these two lighter blues in a puffier brush and to soften
the edges a little bit more
Plus I'm gonna take a sort of soft peach shimmered, add a little bit of warmth
to the brow bone and inner corner and these are this is all from the BH
cosmetics uh... hundred and twenty pallet
I believe it's the fourth edition
now this is that darker blue again and you want to cut your crease again and
blend it out again with the pencil brush. Um... it's exactly the same steps just with
darker colors so you can get a gradient effect
now you do one use that lighter blue just to soften that harsh edge that you
might get but really the most important thing is getting it while it's still wet
now once you're happy with that you want to go underneath in just the center
with that dark blue
and again with the pencil brush blend it out with that lighter blue color
now this is mixes studio liner
in extreme silver
and you want a start by lining right in between the red and the blue
and you can work your way down and you can work your way up but you do you
want that line to be quite quite sharp
and then
create your cat eye
connect them
so you just want to
connect them to the shape you want. Fill them in and line your eye
then you wanna bring the liner up so that when you're looking straight
ahead you can see the liner
above your crease
now this color tattoo in solar strike by Maybelline
and I'm just using this to fill in over top um... I used the liquid liner over the top
to get a sharper line and this one again is just gonna intensify it
you can use this overshadow for this if you prefer
that's totally fine. I really like to look at this gave
um... and I'm just gonna go in perfect the lines as much as I can go back
and forth between the liquid and
the color tattoo if you have to
and now I'm going to take that red again in the same love plus foiled and
I'm gonna sharpen up any lines that I can just
try to make them as sharp as possible
and I'm gonna underline
the cat eye so it's kind of like and upside down smoky cat eye
and that will help to define the silver and also that outer corner of your
eye
and you're gonna do the same thing with the dark blue again on the top
um... this will help to define the silver make it pop a little bit more
but this time I'm going to use a smaller fluffy brush and that medium blue color to
blend it all together
um... you don't have to beat perfect at this and you'll see in a second I have a
bit of a boo boo look at that. Ew.
So you can brush it away with your finger and it will help to blend in a little bit
better
so just work at that until you're happy with it and keep adding you might have
to add
more darker color again
once you've blended it out
but the important thing is to just blend
Now I'm taking this darker maroon color and just deepening up
underneath the eye to make it more intense
and I'm gonna put on my lashes next with my duo
and I don't show this because um... it was kind of a disaster but they're Quo
eight hundreds
and I'm using duo
and now they're on there and uh...
this is again that jumbo eye shadow pencil and I'm just heavily lining my
waterline and just underneath my eyelashes plus I'm gonna
dust it across my lashes for lack of a better time
but just whiten up your eyelashes this is a good alternative to colored mascara
I'm gonna take that silver liquid again and just sharpen up that inner corner
in silver
and then I'm gonna take my favorite mascara Revlon's Grow lashes and I'm
going to adhere the falsies to my own lashes
and that's it
So hopefully you enjoyed that and um... and hopefully
you could find an occasion to wear it might be fun for the fourth of july
which is coming up fairly soon might be fun for if you're like dancer or ice
skater. If you have any requests
