Why retire? It's easy to get a job in life that you just "happen upon." We get sucked in by the benefits and get comfortable with the compensation. It might even be close to where we live. We just keep finding these reasons that keep us trapped there. I would venture to say that most people wouldn't consider their current job, their "dream job." Is your job like a prison? Do you find yourself planning what you're going to do when you "get out?" Why not go after your dream job? If you're doing what you love to do and someone asks you ... I know some people of retiring age and they feel like they've put in their 25 years to 30 years of work and now there's freedom. Now they can pursue what it is they really really love, they can live now. It seems like a prison sentence, doesn't it? You put in your 25 to 30, you're sitting there day after day thinking about what you're going to do when you get out, you know? And so you finally get out and then you start living your life. Why not live your life while you're working? Why not make what you're doing your life's passion, your service to other people, the thing you love? Because, then at the end of the 25 to 30, you're ready to do more. You don't want to retire, this is your passion, this is what you love to do, so why retire? Have a great day!
