Hello and welcome to the monthly E-com Italian videocast.
We've arrived in December and what is the most important event in December?
But of course, il Natale(Christmas)! “Buon Natale a tutti!(Merry Christmas to all!)”.
Well, in fact we'll talk about just this in the topic for this month.
While with regards to the cultural topic, we'll talk about the various differences of the Italian language.
It's interesting, right? Well, then keep watching.
Well, now let's talk about Christmas, which is a very important event for us Italians.
On Christmas morning, we all go to church with our families to pray,
but after the Mass finishes and we go home, we all meet together and eat, eat so much and so many good things.
There is no precise menu, because it depends on the various Italian cities and regions,
but there is one thing that all of them have in common: that is the panettone.
This is a traditional Christmas dessert that is very delicious.
And besides being good, it is very important: if there is no panettone, you can almost say that it is not Christmas.
So, if you happen to come to Italy for Christmas, I recommend you eat this dessert, because it is really delicious.
And now let's talk about the cultural topic, that is the various differences of the Italian language,
which may seem strange, but there are very many.
Why? Because Italy is a very long and big country, and there is a big difference between the North and South,
not only in style and in character, but also in words and ways of speaking.
So, for example, a person who lives in Milan and decides to go to Rome or Naples,
may be in trouble, because the words used, the various dialects are so different
that an Italian from the north, cannot understand anything that an Italian from the south says and vice versa.
So, those of you who are studying the Italian language, if you were to come to Italy to study, or only on vacation,
and if you do not understand a few words or a few expressions, don't worry:
even for us Italians, it is normal to not be able to understand between the North and the South.
Do not worry.
Well, so what did you think of the video for this month? Was it interesting?
Well, December is definitely a very challenging month, but do not forget to study Italian.
So, please try to find at least a little bit of time to study.
Well, we'll see you soon, I hope.
Thank you for following our video and see you soon! Bye-bye!
