Hi, this is Doug on behalf of ExpertVillage.com.
What we're doing here is emphasizing the reappear
in the French Drop. How do you make an object
reappear? And different ways of doing that.
Catching up with the trick, of course we started
with a coin. We brought the hands together,
we did the drop and steal. Bringing the hands
apart, a little bit of delay, and of course
the vanish. Now of course you want to make
it something disappear. And especially if
you borrowed someone's coin, because they'll
be thinking that was my coin, and now it's
gone. Unless you want to make a lot of money
off of it. No, you definitely want to make
it reappear. It's just going to be your kicker
ending to a great trick. So of course you're
starting up here. And if you remember here,
the coin has vanished, but didn't vanish all
along. It started down here, this hand. It's
going to be at the side of your body, just
relaxed. Several different ways I like to
make things reappear. Of course you want to
say oh, well I disappeared and it has reappeared.
Go into your hand, or your pocket, and pull
out the coin. Just again, if you see your
hand is just palming the coin like this. Or
in a very relaxed motion like this. You want
to bring your hand into your pocket, then
draw attention to the pocket. Pull out the
coin. A couple other ways I like to do it,
so you have your hand down to the side and
say well, you didn't' see it, but I actually
put it in my shoe. Kind of a fun one there.
This one, the making your coin reappear, the
options are endless. Of course, you're the
classic magician secret of course making it,
a coin disappear and then making it reappear
behind someone's ear. How that vanish works,
or that reappear works is you have the coin
in your hand like so. And what you're going
to do is actually push the coin to your fingertips.
That's how it works there. Again, you're going
to take the coin in your hand and just push
it to your fingertips. Very important. And
I also like to bring emotion, where you're
actually bringing it forward, and bring it
backwards into sight. And how it looks from
the front is forward, backwards into sight.
So it's almost as if the coin produced itself.
Again, being very magical. And again, you
can use it as if you're making it appear and
anyone, any sort of place. Behind somebody's
ear, in your shoe, in your sock, in your pocket.
You guys do the math, you figure it out.
