Insane Racing Team - Formula Offroad 2012!

Hi! My name is Martin and I'm the lucky one to hold the steering wheel and step on the throttle. We are five persons running the Insane Racing Team. We are from Norway and we travel all over Scandinavia; both Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and even Iceland. We are travelling around in our racing bus, where we live and have a separate room for the racing car. For us, a Formula Offroad event is not just about the driving, but it's about the whole journey, meeting nice people and having a good time together. Hi! My name is Morten. I'm one of the mechanics in team Insane Racing. At the moment, we're working with the race car to get it ready for the upcoming season. We put a lot of effort in making the car work properly, because having a functional car is half way to victory. This is a LS7 Corvette engine with 824 HP (200 NOS) We do also have custom made axles. This gives us a better turn radius than the competitors. We have overhauled the transmission (Powerglide). It's built to stand 2000 HP. It's the same transmittion as they use in the American Monster Jam car, Grave Digger. Formula Offroad is one of the toughest motorsports in the world! At the biggest weekend events, about 2000 - 2500 spectators show up each day. The spectators can follow the whole race from one spot, they don't need to move around in the race area. We have a great team and I'm very happy about it! Morten is the best overall mechanic I have ever known. If there is a mechanical problem with the car, he solves it, period! And futher more we have Steinar. He's our electrician and he has build the entire electric system in the car. For us it has been a scoop to get Steinar as a team member. Bjørn is in charge of the media part. He produces a video from every Formula Offroad event. I can guarantee that the videos created by Bjørn, is the best Formula Offroad videos ever produced. The fifth team member varies from race to race. We choose among our friends who has technical skills and that we get well along with.
