MP is a software suite to support the process of making mosaics from creative stage to production; -I't composed by many apps and it is the only complete and customizable software solution to automate every phase of mosaic making The Mosaic Designer application let's begin by loading a JPG image and opening it directly within the designer we'll see how to make a mosaic from it we choose a BB image taken from the Internet and set a black and white palette of tiles expressly made before, just for this kind of images now we make our operations... we can select how big the mosaic has to be here you can see ... this is the image transformed into a mosaic the result appears ok, so far, but... to refine our result we can make some changes if there are things we don't like, we can for example work on a little bit... let's take the color picker to see... how can we change some tiles selecting the bucket I clear all the right part of the face this is better, I believe and if now we want to change some details... change some other tiles ok this is the fixed mosaic I believe this is a very good result for so little time spent and this is the rendering we can also print a complete report with a bill of materials wich indicates quantities percents we have a tiling map with all of the sheets and in the end the rendering very beautiful now we look at the Blend Designer another application to design blends of tiles this time we'll use a different palette with very beautiful tiles you have no limt in the way you can mix your tiles you can set percents or distribute automatically and this is the first result but let's use a grout here we are you can mix as many color as you like the result is impressive, very realistic we now add some other color to have an even more rich blend let's distribute and make the rendering here it is let's see more in detail perfect this is a bill of materials with all the tiles used and percents Gradient Designer: hot to make a custom gradient let's make a gradient from light blu to dark blu we'll start from a mix of 3 different light blue tiles to end up in dark blue I select 3 dark blue tiles as usual there is no limit in the way you can select and choose to distribute or set manually we'll get a 3x8 sheets gradient sample perfect this is the RGB preview let's select a light grout and the rendering preview we have the 2 main directions it is possible to customize each step here we choose the penultimate sheet because I want a different distribution as you can see in the result it's easy to print the configuration with all informations each step with percents and tiles and so another kind of print, here Last, but not least, the Palette Builder program the app to create tile palettes in this foder I put some tile images, we can begin using ten then we load the entire folder into the program then we simply press the Scan button so it immediately creates the palette putting everything into a grid with all info dimensions, weights, RGB equivalent colors the real tile image (which can also be edited) the option to rotate the tile during rendering operations which is very important because it creates 8 different images per each single tile but we can choose not to rotate (e.g. when tiles are transparent with a shadow) the pixel size of the tile image it is very easy to create a palette for use in th Mosaic Project.
