To protect the cars, Team Texas uses ATVs to get you rolling. We just dump the clutch and the engine roars to life! Instructor asks me to pass the car ahead, but then they finally get the engine started, so I have to wait. 1st lap is to get a feel for the track and various visual cues, no passing allowed. Now I can go! Time to catch up and try to pass the slow pokes! Getting ready to pass the #3 position Pass #2 position! Time to go get #1! Bye bye! I'm in the #1 position for the rest of the race! That was a pro driver, who's car does 160MPH giving a ride to a guest. Will get past by 2nd pro at 5min 29sec At 7min 16sec you hear the sputter when the 150MPH govenor kicks in. Top speed reached! Gonna lap this car! Checkered flag, I'm done and won my heat! Instructor cuts the engine off, and it's time for me to coast in the last mile.
