for many years I contributed to the Red Cross not know knowing where my funds went
but I was more than happy to give those funds for people that I didn't know and
needed emergency help and now the Red Cross has stepped in and is helping me
It was around 3:30 in the morning the night of the storm. My phone woke me up beeping.
And I went to my phone, got it turned back on for light
and then I heard what I thought was a rescue truck. It was a two-foot wall of water. I didn't know it was
coming and when it hit
all I could do was start praying to God as loud as I could and asked him to save my life
The Red Cross to me means caring
and just someone to talk to. Someone that actually will listen to my story
and care that someone like me
was out there
and offered the help that ya'll have offered.
The flood can happen at any moment. You don't know it's coming until it's there.
and when I get back on my feet again I will contribute back to the Red Cross because
they're here to help and they are helping every day
