April's Roommate: This is my roommate April, she just broke
up with her boyfriend and she's going through a rough time. I invite her out with me, but
all she wants to do is lie on the couch listening to that Adele song on repeat all day and all
night. Shavon:
There are other ways to deal with this. April's Roommate:
She didn't wanna be around people at my birthday party so I let her be the DJ. Every other
song she played was that Adele track. You had Lady Gaga! Adele, Jay-Z! Adele, Black
Eyed Peas! Adele. I don't even think Adele listens to Adele that much. People started
to leave the party it was embarrassing. Shavon:
A healthy route to dealing with your break-up would be, definitely, take a good look in
the mirror and just cry. It's ok to cry. Cry for a little bit, but then as soon as you've
cried it all out, don't look back. Put your bootstraps on and just keep walking.
Defriend (Male 1): Hello. So I defriended my ex-Boyfriend on
Twitter, Instagram, G chat, I chat, Facebook, Spotify, & Words with Friends and then I freaked
out because I actually wanna be in his life, so I refriended him on Twitter, Instagram,
G chat, I chat, Facebook, Spotify, & Words with Friends.
Erika: Come on, there's a better way to handle this.
Defriend (Male 1): Now the friending and defriending have become
a daily ritual. I wake up, I make toast and then I spend hours friending and defriending
him. What should I do? It would be so much easier if they made Words with ex-boyfriends.
Erika: A good way to deal with your break-up feelings
would be to join something new. Maybe like a club or a sport so that you can now transfer
your previous commitment to a new commitment.
Male 2: After my break-up I felt so betrayed, I ripped
up everything that reminded me of my ex-girlfriend. The love letters, posters, ticket stubs, the
life-size card board cutout, and I ripped up her cashmere sweater. Yeah, I know a sweater!
Shavon: Uh, I wouldn't go that far.
Male 2: I just wanna find someone new...preferably
someone who won't rip my heart out. Shavon:
Some activities you can do after being broken up with: definitely work out. Work out, run,
get in your cardio, lift weights, just be the sexiest ex you can be so when they see
you again, their jaw will drop.
