Does vegan bodybuilding give you superhuman strength?
What commercials have you been watching? I want to know who has that good of a marketing
division for products I’d like to sell.
I heard that going vegan is ultra-healthy, and as a body builder, that matters a lot.
It is hard for vegans to get enough protein unless they love mock meat made from soy -
Which is outside of most body builders’ budgets.
Or they eat rice and beans by the pound.
And then they are tooting with every squat. Replace white rice with brown rice, and you’ll
be doing number two every few hours in your quest to be number one.
Vegans can get a lot of their protein from plant sources like peanuts, walnuts, pecans,
Brazil nuts and other nuts.
Nuts are almost as expensive per pound as mock meat.
Learn to love the various forms of soy like tempeh, endame, soy beans, dried soy nuts
in place of peanuts and soy milk.
That would be a challenge. I heard you can get almost as much out of pulses.
I hope you like Indian cooking, because that’s the best way to make chickpeas, lentils and
other pulses edible by the pound.
It’s really spicy. I heard that curry is addictive.
They add the hot flavor because they can’t stand cooked pulses otherwise.
OK, there are a lot of vegan sources of protein. Will it result in a better physique?
You’ll certainly have a hard time gaining weight on a vegan diet unless you are eating
a lot of sweets. Vegans eat so many high fiber protein sources it is like cutting all the
time.
What about their strength?
It’s the same as it would be for body builders on any other regimen.
Except for the pride that they are doing it on an ultra-clean, highly ethical diet.
A Greek God with a holier than thou attitude definitely comes off as having a can-do attitude.
