- Hello from Malmo, we're here with Pasha Parfeny, composer of the song...
- How do you spell my name? Parfenov?
- Parfeniy
- OK
- Hi, Pasha
- Hi, Misha
- and Yuliana Scutaru, the lyricist
- The first question is how the rehearsal went are you happy with everything.
- The first rehearsal is always the most emotional event at every event, not excluding Eurovision.
- It went with some glitch, it is OK thing, if you want to get result.
The result for us is not a place in record books of Eurovisions but that we should achieve the performance we have thought of...
- We have a very contrdicting feelings as we're happy with some moments we have been worrying about a lot
from the other side, we put a bigger demands for ourselves.
So we both liked it, still worried about some things and there is room for improval.
- Rehearsal has shown us some questions that have to be solved.
- At the first run Aliona began singing and English and then moved to Romanian. What had happened?
- Well, her earphones were not working there, so she didn't hear in which language she was singing in.
- She probably has felt she is on a big stage, and for her so far the biggest was the stage of the national preselection, where she sang in English...
so that's why she automatically started singingin in English.
- To be honest, I've also started playing in D minor instead of C minor.
Then I've realised that. Oh, what should I do.
- The thing that Aliona is being raised on the stage, is it by Swedish directors, or yours one?
- Pasha is too humble to admit it was actually his idea to make Aliona grow.
So I will do a praise for him.
- Tell us about your work on music video which you had just released?
- We wanted to show that pureness and sincerity that Aliona has.
We wanted to make without claims for a big clipmaking art to transfer her two internal conditions. And to pass something that is inside her.
There are no other ideas in the music video that I would like to tell about. All of us have different impressions of the story behind the video.
- It is interesting that every person who watches this video understands the parrallel between two worlds a little bit differently
so every person we ask says us different things about the video. So we would like to ask you now, what is your understanding of it.
- It's a difficult question...
- We're collecting opinions, come on.
- I will think about this and will come back to you to later tonight.
- OK, exactly at 8 we're waiting for you in Euroclub with an answer.
- I think Yuliana was speaking about two worlds we have in the video
- a green world, a red world and a world without colours. We've been painting all trees white with exactly these hands.
- Only with those, not with these.
- Yep, she didn't want to get dirty, and I'm not afraid of that. We've painted,
I thought it was good, but then it turned that every single sprig should be painted white.
A very hand job. So we created two worlds. One is her inner world...
- Don't tell him!
- OK, he will tell us at 8 o'clock himself.
- What are your plans for Malmo besides rehearsals? Have you already seen some of Malmo and Copenhagen?
- We haven't been in Copenhagen yet, and we've seen Malmo only from bus window on the way from airport to hotel to arena to Euroclub.
That's it. So it is time a bit to discover a city.
- Are you planning to have a Moldovan party?
- Yes, we're planning... for some years now even.
The thing is that as we're rather small country, small delegation, probably we don't need a party.
We're trying to get friends with other countries on a personal level.
- The last year has shown us that it is not so important to build on official relations, but rather private relations.
We have built a big base of friends and you're among them.
And a lot of other friends, and it is more important that parties.
We're not sure how making huge parties with a lot of guests, food etc will affect the result at the contest.
- And honestly, we just don't have money for that, and not a lot of people to organize it.
- Fans are complaining that there are too few shots of you on the screen during the performance.
- I'm promising we will think that over. Yuliana has said I'm a humble person and it is so.
But we probably will have to fulfil their request. We want to show the present of pianist more...
so we're going to request some changes in camerawork.
- Fans demand to show Pasha more - let it be the title of your article.
- OK. Do you have plans to continue working with Aliona, may be doing album?
- Well, it is too early to think about an album. We have though on a follow up single,
but we don't have time actually to sing of it now since we're fully busy with Eurovision.
- As we've already discussed in Amsterdam, it is you who should go next year to the contest.
- Yes, we have been joking a lot about it.
- But your last years' joke turned to be true.
- It was a bit more realistic. But now Pasha indeed says, Yuliana, if you could learn to sing
I would have definitely sent you to the Eurovision. 0:08:58,0:09:00 - Let's together now ask Yuliana to sing.
- No, don't do that.
- Well, you still have a full year to teach her to sing, plenty of time till the selection.
- He says he is the best vocal coach in the world, but he didn't give me any lessons.
As he says the person who wants to learn to sing, he just learns and isn't going to any vocal coach.
- OK, thanks for the interview, we wish you good luck, see you soon again, bye.
