From 1990 to 2012, human Carbon Emissions rose from 6 to 10 Billion Tonnes a year.
Atmosphere concentrations of Carbon Dioxiide rose from 353 to 400 Parts Per Million/Volume.
If we intend to limit global temperature rise to less than 2° Celsius, emissions must go to zero . . .
. . . we must emit now a CARBON BUDGET of not more than 250 Billion Tonnes Carbon (Gt C) (source - IPCC/UNFCC/IGBP).
UN Climate negotiations are based on a Treaty that is supposed to negotiate that emission budget to stop the rising concentrations.
Sadly, for the last 20 years, UN climate negotiations . . . have been mostly words, words, words . . .
. . . while at best picking a few numbers out of a hat . . .
"We're running out of time. We have to reverse the path we're on & get to zero net emissions."
The view from Maggie's garden . . .

Oh hear me . . .
