So, you've made your journal, but you may not want to take this with you if you're traveling,
or if you just want something to take along in your purse. It might be too bulky. This
is a great book for a coffee table or for your bookshelf, to give as a gift, but if
you want something that's a little smaller, then I want to show you another journal, that
you can make, that will be really stylish. It's super easy to make, and you can just
toss it in your purse. You can toss it in your bag, if you're traveling. It doesn't
take up hardly any space, and this is using leather, for a leather cover, so it's very
durable, and it really just takes this leather strap to bind it, and some hole punching.
I actually got this leather from my neighbor. He was throwing out a leather couch, so I
went and asked him, if I could cut all the leather off the couch, and I got that. I spray
painted it, and then added some embroidery, and then this one, I got from a women's purse
that I found at a thrift store. It was like two dollars. It's so much cheaper than going
to a fabric store and buying leather, and plus you get all these really neat, aged spots
that are on them, so if you have any old leather purses, maybe your Louis Vuitton, or something
you can cut up, have a designer book, but if you don't want to cut it up, maybe use
your Louis Nuitton, or the side version, the knockoff version, but let's get started on
how to make your leather strap journal.
