Duomo Street is one of the most important from the artistic point of view of the town.
Surely it is similar to Toledo Street, but has something more than Toledo Street.
There are seven museums around Duomo Street. That is one kilometer long about. I have not measured it.
There is a Filangieri Museum, Pio Monte della Misericordia, a Diocesan Museum, the Museum of St. Gennaro,
a Madre Museum, we have in front of here the Girolamini and near the Archeology Museum.
We have from Pompei to St. Gennaro, from Caravaggio to Francesco Clemente, do we want more?
There are many restaurant, pizzeria where we can receive tourists.
All this is a heritage that we have not fully exploited.
A party can put in parentheses even the religious appearance and can point to art.
You just want to do this.
We have an unique heritage in this way that can facilitate trade, of course.
St. Gennaro is revered in Naples, from centuries.
He's one of the oldest and most deeply rooted cults that exist in Italy.
Every year draws the miracle. The miracle is renewed on that date every year.
St. Gennaro is also a time of celebration, that this festival returns
this year which means it is a celebration of the people, not only religious
but also secular, even enjoyment.
St. Gennaro has always been this. Do not forget that one
of the most famous Neapolitan songs "Dove sta ZazĂ " is set at the Feast of St. Gennaro.
We are doing the party here in Naples, now.
There are dozens of years, maybe hundred years,
that make it to Little Italy in New York, in Manhattan.
So the relationship is very strong,
I have to say that those who went to the Mulberry Street
has seen how much of Italy and Naples, because then abroad Italy is Naples.
St. Gennaro is an icon still alive among Neapolitans.
You also have somewhat comical points of contact with religion.
Absolutely!
We have to tell the truth. In two thousand years of history there has been no Pope has called Gennaro.
We have one that is called Francesco, for the first time. We have not yet and I'm waiting for a Gennaro strongly.
Francesca Marini on stage to celebrate St. Gennaro, soon.
What is St. Gennaro for you and your artistic career.
St. Gennaro is the Saint Patron of Naples, which are therefore also mine.
It's nice to see, sing in the heart of my city.
I am so happy, excited and then it's nice to see these festivals.
Salvatore Misticone tell us about your St. Gennaro.
To tell the truth I live a little throbbing because this miracle of St. Gennaro
as everyone knows, is really considered a milestone in the fate of Naples.
So a little tied to luck, a little tied to religion, it becomes a very important fact.
There is always a bit of trepidation.
That if the miracle does not happen, as sometimes happened you can find the city unhappy.
Even more unhappy when a team of Naples loses, then a tragedy.
